Industry introduction

Modern eddy-current inspection technology has been widely used in the quality inspection of metal components in aerospace field. Many aerospace accidents occur when structural integrity is compromised due to small defects on the surface or deep layers of the material. These defects often occur on the surface of the aircraft, bearing structures, or vulnerable components.

In order to ensure the safety of the aircraft, the relevant safety components must be tested in the process of manufacturing and in-service operation and maintenance. Eddy current testing technology is usually used to detect the surface and subsurface defects of aircraft engine blades, bolts, screw holes, aircraft multilayer structures, landing gear, wheel hubs, aluminum skins, etc.

Application case: engine blade

The engine blade is an important part of the aircraft, which can effectively convert thermal energy into mechanical kinetic energy. Because of its complex production process, it needs to consume a lot of manpower and material resources, coupled with poor working conditions, so the cost and maintenance costs are relatively high. This requires the use of advanced non-destructive testing technology to improve the quality of the engine blade and extend the service life of the blade, ensure the safety and reliability of the working process, and reduce the use and maintenance costs.
