       In nuclear power equipment, the steam generator heat exchange tube is the pressure boundary of the reactor coolant system and the third safety barrier to prevent the escape of radioactive fission products. According to the different type of nuclear power unit, the material, size and quantity of steam generator heat exchange tube are not the same.


       In the practice of quality inspection of steam generator heat exchange tube, the 100% eddy current inspection of the tube body is usually carried out by the through-probe. For heat exchange tubes with high quality requirements, such as thin-walled tubes, it is also necessary to add rotary eddy current testing to detect 100% of the longitudinal cracks in the tube wall to achieve comprehensive detection of various common typical defects on the heat exchange tube.
